Three Step Claims Process
Step 1 - Prevent further damage
The first thing you should do is protect your property from further damage or loss. For example:
- You have a leaking pipe at your property. To stop further damage, turn off the water and contact a plumber to repair the leak
- You have a break in. Call the police and secure your property
- The window of your car is broken. Cover the hole; leave the car inside a secured area until the glass can be replaced.
You must ensure that all receipts are kept and where possible, photographs taken of any damage which will be considered as part of the claim.
